Brent W. Cowan, P.E.
In 1996, Brent Cowan started CSC Technology. He brought with him over 27 years
in engineering experience in air pollution, water and wastewater treatment that
included several overseas assignments and projects. Environmental facility
operations and management for Smith-Kline's pharmaceutical manufacturing
operation in the Caribbean and extensive wastewater operations management in
Puerto Rico are two highlights of his overseas experience. While employed by
several engineering consulting companies, Brent conducted numerous extensive
characterization and treatability projects in the areas of industrial wastewater
treatment, air pollution control, and environmental feasibility studies.
Over the past 12 years, Brent has been directly responsible for the technical
implementation and management of various chemical treatment programs designed to
optimize and effectively inhibit microbiological growth, scale formation, and
corrosion in water supplies, boiler, cooling and process water systems and
numerous wastewater operations projects.
Brent holds a BS and MS in engineering from Villanova University and Oklahoma
State University respectively. In addition, Brent is a Registered Professional
Engineer (PE) and
licensed Water and Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator in Pennsylvania. Brent's professional affiliations and memberships include the Water Pollution Control Federation, American Water Works, American Textile Chemists and Colorists (AATCC), and he is a member of AATCC Research Committee RA-34.
